Not quite anime but I finished watching "The Immortals", combo of live action and CGI characters, written and directed by one of Europe's best comic book creators, Enki Bilal.

The Doctor : … and then, just to finish off, I’m going to wipe every last stinking Dalek out of the sky !
Dalek : But you have no weapons ! No defenses ! No plan !
The Doctor : Yeah ! And doesn’t that scare you to death ?

First 8 eps here but I couldn't agree more about the guilty pleasure part. :D

Non-anime wise, I got my hands on the Dilbert tv-series. It's still very funny but it lacks the punch of the three panel strips.

I've recently been rewatching a lot of anime I love: Blue Sub #6 and the follwoing hentai: Dutch Wife- Mail Order Maiden, Teacher's Pet, Mother Sister, Stepmother's Sin, Masquerade, Viper GTS, Tsumamigui, Leatherman... Yeah, I've been real horny this week :P

The only new anime I've seen is epepisdoes and 6 of Power ARMS which is all I have on DVD :(
Oh yeah, I also watched the Japanese horror film Uzumaki based on the manga which I heard was really scarey. IMO it was very poor, a real waste of time and I expected greater things from director Higuchinsky...
I might start on Eyeshield 21 soon as I've got the first 8 eps ready and waiting.

Full Metal Panic! The Second Raid - 06
Air the Movie

Krafty, Tomie 1 & 2 wasn't great, but I loved the horror manga that it was based on.

I've never heard of "Mother Sister", but its probably one of those translation problems again. You have to remember so many titles for adult anime - 1. the Japanese title, 2. the direct translation of the Japanese title, 3. the indirect English translation of the title that gets popular through bootlegs/rips and people using them and 4. the one or two English titles that are given for non R2 DVD releases. It's all very confusing. :nuts

I hardly watched anything last week. I'm building up my backlog. :(

Square of the Moon 1 of 4 (decent - 5.4):
I didn't know what to expect when I started watching this. It turned out to be less cliched than most "hentai" anime. It has a supernatural plot to it SLIGHTLY in the vein of Tsukihime and Fate/Stay Night (but I can't compare it to those two classics). The plot isn't really rolling yet, but the way the guys were drawn and the H-scenes made it seem like it was based off manga instead of a game. But then I seen "Alice Soft" in the ending credits and knew my assumption was wrong. :emb

Ichigo Mashimaro 4 (decent/fairly good - 5.8 ) :
I enjoyed this episode. It was quite funny especially the second half. The second half reminded me of an old Maison Ikkoku joke, but I won't say which one or that would be giving it away. But I was rolling on the floor at the end there. lol :D

Shuffle! 7 (decent - 5.6):
I like this episode about Asa-sempai. But I didn't care for the change of art direction. Gotoh Keiji was the animation director as a return favor from the director of Shuffle for when he worked on Kitty Grade. I can understand him doing that, but it made the characters look somewhat different than normal and it was somewhat distracting. The nice Asa moments show why she's my favorite Shuffle character. :love2 Primula and Kaede had a funny scene too.

It looks like episode eight will go back to Sia. It's almost confirmed now that Shuffle will be twenty four episodes long. :woot:

Erementar Gerad 20 (decent - 5.7):
A decent episode, but I don't think I personally connected with it as much as it was intended. :?

School Days chapters:
I haven't been able to see any of the bloody violent endings yet except for the ones that were stuck in those gifs. I know there are at least four deaths that can happen in the main romantic love triangle. But even some of the non-violent chapters can be troubling to watch. It's creepy to see Kotonoha slowly losing her mental sanity because of the situation that she's put under.

And speaking of weirdness...check out this School Days merchandise you can buy:

Do you consider this funny or warped? I think its a little of both. :crazy :wow:

I ended up finishing up Iriya no Sora, UFO no Natsu today. Had seen the
first episode months back and had piled up the remaining five since then.
Very good show. Reminds me a lot of Saikano.

For me the highlight of Iriya no Sora besides the beautiful ending of the final episode was the ending of the third. With the orchestral music swelling it made for a quite glorious scene. :l

And I can't think of any other anime that I said that about. If I did, it must have been a long time ago back when I had hardly seen any anime.

And heck...I forgot to mention I watched Bleach 45 last week too. Somehow I forgot to list it down on my calendar.

I totally agree with the varient names that anime is often given, the original, the Engrish, the US version etc...
'Mother Sister' is the closest I know of and I doubt this'll get a US release although it's one of my faves- I have a thing for mothers and their daughters in anime :dwink You can guess what the story is about but PM me if you want more details. Again the chara designs in this are very similar to Teacher's Pet so I'll have to look up the creatives to see what correlates.

Regarding the School Days merch, a cleaver is a great object to advertise your show across. You can imagine the kids going to school with one in their lunchbox. LOL!
Mind you, don't they already do that in half of the American schools? [controversial] :sweatdrop:ewhip:
