They should start shipping the checks/doing direct deposits in May.

I got both Federal and State returns. :D I was planning to spend my refunds on something cool, but that "something cool" has turned into "grad school"...

I plan on being poor for quite some time. :l

Cool. I have a lofty goal.

The new estimated date is mid-July. And they are doing them in alphabetical order, so if you have a last name like mine (starts with a Z), it could be quite some time before that check arrives - if ever.

As I mentioned above, it's actually May - the actual dates have been posted finally. It'll be based on SSN. The time table can be found here, for those interested:

June for me, but with my last name it probably would have been June anyway. That's ok, as long as my regular return gets here soon so I can buy my parents plane tickets. (my present to them on their 20th Anniversary)

Okay...time for me to start working on my tax forms. :D

It's getting kind of late though. Maybe I'll start tomorrow since I have the day off work tomorrow.

You are asking about yourself?

Just sent in my extension, same as last year. I will get a large amount back, but it always stretches out. Last year I got my refund at Thanksgiving :?

My husband and I aren't getting a refund as big as last year's, but we got almost $300 from state and $600 from federal. We spent our state refund on a much needed lawn mower... :)

I started working my taxes at 11 AM PDT. :)

I discovered that I get enough back in Fed tax to buy a very expensive sketch set (or two pretty expensive sets) and that I get enough back in State tax to buy a somewhat expensive sketch set. /no1

Now it's time for me to go back rationing my toilet paper squares and reusing my kleenex. lol :^^:

I did OK, but my wife had to pay tax on her social security proceeds and the activity of her pension fund, which is no longer tax-free. So the great Tax Incentive should put us just about back to even.

Don't get old, folks! The world's ready to shaft you as soon as you're seen as superfluous.

did anyone else get their extra payment?

mine came in earlier this month. i filed with direct deposit, so the extra bit came in the same way as the original refund.

if you haven't gotten it yet, then at least they are on their way so keep an eye out for it.
