i wanna know how many people and who play instruments and what they think of it.

I play the piano as many know (but not as much as before), but i began playing anime tunes (naruto, fma) and it really relaxes my mind. If i am stressed out, i could just play some piano and forget about it. It is also cool to hear a great song and even cooler when u play it. :)

I have a violin, but I don't know how to play it. :P

What makes it harder for me (which I didn't think of before I bought it) is that I have slight astigmatism and I'm very nearsighted (like 20-1000 vision without glasses). So when I'm playing the violin looking to my left, the view comes out warped and crooked. X|

But I'm happy just to have my own violin...

I get pleasure from such small things, I know. :^^:

I used to play flute a lot back in middle/high school. I branched off into Clarinet and Piano as well. I haven't played in a while though but I do get the urge to pick up my instruments and play a tune every once in a while. :D

I played the trombone...althought it needs to have the slide realigned so I haven't played it in a long time. I'm also self taught on the piano (which means only I can bear to hear myself play :D ). It really is relaxing to sit there and focus on the music.

I want to learn to play the violin, but they're expensive little instruments so I'm holding off until I get out of school.

I used to play the baritone/euphonium back in elementary/middleschool (five school years).
I had to stop though because I couldn't fit both art and music in my schedule..
I guess I was pretty decent, but I could never do staccato very well, I was more of a slow, legato person.

I used to play a piano when I was in Japan but since I cannot carry a piano here I totally have not played at all now :(

I have a violin and I have tried to learn hot to but I was sooooooooooooooooo busy and I stopped playing :( :(

I wanna learn!

Same here, I play the flute & later branched to a piccolo to play at the East & West Shrine Games for 3 years. I'm currently learning how to play the viloin since my friend bought me a nice full size student violin and bow, as an early B-Day present. Though the contigency is that within 1 year, I have to become decent enough to play at his Birthday party (bastard, always sticking in contigencies LOL).

I'd love to play the piano, but the piano lessons here are expensive (it is just easier to pay an instructor so that you can use their piano, than to rent one and learn on your own :l ) so I visit my friend up north when I feel like listening to some piano playing....live is so much better than a CD :D Plus he's been playing since he was 8 8O

Used to be a drummer whilst at school. I went to a recording studio to make a demo tape and that was cool. Nowadays I like to tap away to music I hear and am especially fond of bass drum patterns.

My interests diverted towards DJing which calls upon a sense of rhythm and timing- I just let everyone else do the hard work so I can bask in the perfection of the end product, LOL

Actually, I love to engineer music. Whenever I make CD compilations I select particular tracks based on their structure/sound/tempo etc and merge the endings where necessary among other things. It may take 3 or 4 days to make a CD but the time flys since I love it ^__^
