Because Sith-Krillin programmed me for it.

The Three Laws of Robotics:
1. A robot may not injure a human being, or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.
2. A robot must obey the orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.
3. A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.

Heh... I know.... I KNOW!!
Damn, I hope it's good.

I'm very excited about this movie. But having been a long time TFs fan,
I have to listen to lots of moaning from the boards about this movie.
Fanactics complain about all sorts of things. Bumblebee is not a VW, he's
a Camaro (blame VW for that. They didn't want their property associated
with a violent movie, but having a VW pothead in the movie Cars was ok?),
Soundwave is small and hardly even in it and Starscream is not a jet. But
the movie isn't entirely for people who have been obsessed with TFs for 20+
years. It's for the people who don't know much about their backstories,
people who don't know who Simon Furman is, people looking for a good
summer/action flick. I think this movie will deliver, but you can't please
some people.
The amusing thing is, these complainers will be the first folks in line at the
box office buying tickets for this thing. Either way, it'll do well and it'll
entertain people who have an open mind.

The apparent explanation for the departure from his gun form is that director
Michael Bay does not want to include any sort of size changing in the transformations." ~ Wikipedia

See, that I actually agree with. Mass shifting plagued G1, which makes the
transformations visually illogical. While I do so very much love Megatron as a
gun, it makes sense he would be a vehicle. I'm surprised if they are not
going with his tank mode tho. That, to me, would make perfect sense
because it would be a reference to him as a gun. I suppose Devastator
as a tank is enough.
Bumblebee

I wish Starscream was a jet in this movie, but changes have to be made
when a story is being retold. Starscream is one of my favorite Decepticons,
but there's no reason why he couldn't be a different vehicle in this version
of the TF universe. I'm also a huge Soundwave fan. But I'm keeping an
open mind about it all.

I thought the teaser poster featured Megatron's eye. I think I might've been wrong
in that assumption...

It seems to be the Autobot insignia, staring at the Earth.

What is your real name?

Perhaps I'm just expressing my own concern about it.

Cool little update about one of the location shoots at Holloman Air Force Base, including a couple of videos interviewing some of the soldiers and Bay (director). Fun stuff - it's nice to see the guys having a good time:
