Wal-mart tragedy

I was and still am completely at a loss for words when I first heard about this. Is it really worth acting like a bunch of savages just to save a few bucks  . I'm so glad I didn't have to work today.

I will become smarter as I grow older. Enough about me, let's talk about my dress.

I heard about that from my mother. I wish those involved would be charged with murder (unlikely). It might be like if I was out driving to some place superficially important, came across a red light with a pedestrian legally crossing at the crosswalk, and decided it would be faster to run the red light AND run over the pedestrian. Except these people were part of a crowd that thought, "if everyone else is running red lights and hitting pedestrians, it's okay if I do it, too!" Which, in a way, almost makes it worse than an isolated incident. "But officer, the light was about to change anyway, and I'd been waiting a whole five minutes!"

And all the while, the real best deals are found 365 days a year thanks to places like Slickdeals and Fatwallet. I need that emoticon where the smiley is beating its forehead against a wall. :flushie

I hope this person's family and friends can find some peace.

i cant imagine what they must be going through. i mean, your loved one just goes to work and never comes home (and the person died for nothing!).

i wonder if the pregnant lady miscarried? did you hear that? she was injured too and was taken to the hospital but they never said how she came out.

The pregnant woman and her baby are fine, she's already been released from the hospital.

I feel so horrible for this guy and his poor family. What really bugs me is that people were throwing a fit about having to leave the store because of the incident. That's a real lack of humanity right there.

I went shopping in the morining at 4:30 am at curcuit city. People got what they were looking for. BUT then I went to Target, that was insane! People were pushing and shoving. It was much more crowded than circuit city. One lady was one of the first in line and complained that she should recieve a rain check cuz she couldnt find what she was looking for. I thought she was full of BS. The biggest thing that everyone was after was Guitar Hero bundles/world tour.

I went shopping at the King of Prussia mall. It was a weird experience because although certain stores opened early (JCPenny, Macy's) and the rest of the mall officially opened at 6am, many shops were still not open when I left at 9am. I guess the higher-end stores don't do discounts, so don't see the need to open early - although personally I think that they missed out on some sales opportunities, but I suppose that when you're Cartier or Hermès, you don't care! :D

The mall is big enough that there wasn't really a crowd in any particular locations, except for GameStop. But when I was watching the news I was astonished at how people were acting in certain places! I suppose that this is another side effect of the poor economy: people are so desperate for the sale items that they will literally trample others for them. *sigh* :l

I read this story on AOL yesterday, and was just sickened by it. I can't believe people would act in that manner, and even complain about leaving the store after being told an employee was killed. Those involved should be ashamed of their actions.

It would be nice to see the people responsible charged with at least manslaughter, but I think we all know that's unlikely. My thoughts are with the victims family...

I personally am not a "Black Friday" shopper, but I do think this year more folks were going out hoping to fulfill their shopping lists with as many deals as possible, but still, there is no reason to act like a savage while shopping. :hurt:

This story is just sad.

The story about the two guys shooting each other is kinda funny since they killed each other (only funny in a sick way because they thankfully didn't hurt anyone else). Thank you Darwin!
Two men pulled guns and shot each other to death in a crowded toy store Friday after the women with them erupted into a bloody brawl, witnesses said. Scared shoppers fled but no one else was hurt.

I'm not usually a Black Friday shopper, but there were some things I really wanted this year. My family and I went to Target and the Mall, and surprisingly the workers and shoppers were pretty curteous. Got my a new Xbox 360 and some bath towels for my new apartment. ^_^;

But yeah, those two guys at Toys R Us only shot each other after their girlfriends started a cat fight... *shakes head*
