DARN! I succombed and bid on some BWA items. I tried convincng myslef I should hold off but I'm stupid like that...
Well, I finally got a Hakkenden OP cel from the same sequence as the one I lost out on YJ several months back. With the 10% BWA fee, I got it at about the same price I was willing to pay but without deputy fees, WHOO HOO!
Another win was a Dangaioh OP cel of Rol Kran AND a set of original settei (not copies) from Dangaioh! I'm looking forward to seeing these in person.
However I think I won the settei unfairly, in the last 15 mins of the auction, the Mandy servers weren't responding so I assume other bidders could not place their bids and top my effort as "current highest bidder".
May this be a warning to you all- DON'T wait until the last minutes to place your bid. Bid at least 30mins or 1 hour in advance, if not before to make sure you have a chance.
Or maybe the cel gods were smiling on me, I've felt lucky today...
Let's see if this 'luck' can be transcended into the pub tonight when I chat to some pretty girls, LOL

So did anyone manage to win anything?
The three auctions I was originally thinking of going for were:
1. Ai OP end cel from Kakyuusei TV series:
http://ekizo.mandarake.co.jp/auc_e/item ... 8610100001
I guessed that it would go to high for me and it did. I figured one person in particular would probably go for it. *wink* *wink* *nudge* *nudge*
2. Seraphim Call opening cel:
http://ekizo.mandarake.co.jp/auc_e/item ... 6930100001
This went too high for me too, but the price didn't surprise me since Seraphim Call prices are somewhat high.
3. I was hoping to get this First Kiss Story game cel:
http://ekizo.mandarake.co.jp/auc_e/item ... 9530100001
I figured this was the only one of the three I had a shot at getting, but wouldn't you know it...it went for the highest price.
I didn't expect that.
So I wound up with nothing this go around.

The other day I outlined my BWA wins in my RS website Blog.
They'll be scanned in good time so the wait will be minimal (I'll have them sent in 2 weeks). I don't mind scanning one or two cels from a series at a time, I'm only phased by the piles of 50 cels from the same series ^__^
I'd like to see the Memories cel in person, I even re-bought the anime on DVD since it was on sale, so I can watch it again with renewed interest.
How did the King of Fighters settei go? You must know, RX!
I was amazed by the Peacock King settei, they closed at US$2,000 in total, which was much more than I could have imagined for an old show of this type.

I can't believe that the most expensive cel of the Big Web Auction was a hanken cel of Urusei Yatsura
