Heh. Actually the four images go together well. Hitomi is looking very motherly as if she is saying her rosary that Van won't crash into anything big during his first trial flight. I'm sure mother robins have a moment of intense anxiety the day the nestlings start work on takeoffs and landings.

haha I meant most of the titles I collect. Not many have seen them, but that may mean little to collectors who like a pretty face. :)

Very true! It's like she's praying for his safety... "Please don't crash. Please don't crash. Please don't crash. Oh? You crashed...? *shakes the pendant* This thing doesn't work!" xP

I've seen at least half of the titles in your collection, since I also like "obscure" anime. your updates on B't X do bring back old memories...I remember the local station brought it in to replace the unfinished saint seiya series as well as collecting bootleg trading cards from it during elementary school :D at the time I was really fascinated by the mecha design and also thought the characters are so much more "fashionable" than ones from saint seiya series lol

Yeah, I got hooked on the series when I was in high school. I became active in the local anime club downtown and borrowed the VHS copies of the fansubs. It's been one of my favs ever since. I especially like the OVA series since soooo much happens in it; it's quite dramatic and some of the emotional moments still move me, even after the 100th viewing. lol On the other hand, I never really got into Saint Seiya; I've seen most of the movies...and LOVED Lost Canvas (I'm so upset they cancelled it!!). I don't really care for Kurumada Masami's classic style or even the updated style you see in Omega. I think one of the main reasons why I like B't X much more than Saint Seiya is because the cast is much smaller... I think we get to see much more of the main cast change and evolve throughout the series.
Plus, the ending of the anime is majorly tragic (the manga ends very differently). I have a thing for main characters that are willing to sacrifice everything to save the world or whatever. Cliche probably...heh
And I just had an OMG moment. lol Just realized that the main art director for B't X Neo *AND* Saint Seiya The Lost Canvas was done by Motohashi Hideyuki. No wonder I loved the art in Loscan so much!! xD

Aw, thank you! :D Thanks for having a look!! :bounce

I was going through the digital scans and other images of cels on my computer and found a bunch that I never uploaded to the gallery yet. *facepalm* I will be uploading these in the next couple of days. Some of these are months old, probably from the beginning of the year... heh

I always wondered why you didn’t collect “Fuma no Kojiro.”

Anyway, great new additions!
And, ever since you uploaded them, I’ve been in awe of your Takegami settei.

Did the last bit of updates today. Here's a brief overview of the new stuff:

haha, I guess saint seiya was a childhood thing for me. so when lost canvas aired I was really eager to find out this "new style". the show was great. I also couldn't help but notice the drastic reduction in power gap between gold knights and bronze knights(the one hundred millon punch per sec vs one hundred punch per sec in the old series) as well as chain of command with pandora and 3 generals getting reversed, which I thought was pretty interesting. too bad it couldn't finish, just like the old days. what does that say about this title, I'm not sure-_-" shaka's still pretty badass though, too bad he didn't get much screen time this time around.

heehee, yeah, I didn't see any of Saint Seiya until somewhere in the late 90s. I think it was already I had become a huge YST fan and since I liked B't X so much, I wanted to see what it was about. Even though I typically always like the main character in whatever show, I really had a hard time with Seiya...because he was always whining Saori-san this, Saori-san that, or just plain screaming her name. lol At least with Loscan, Tenma was a bit more badass. :D

I've got all of the manga and had read up to where the anime stopped. I should probably finish it since the anime probably never will. :(

Well, aside from the whole copied sketch theme, let me introduce the newest heart-throbs to my gallery in the last couple of weeks. I am so excited to give these beauties a home! They are simply amazing close up--these scans could never do them justice! These are all from the wonderful gallery of Linda's, so a billion, trillion, zillion thanks to her for letting me have these!!
/kis /lv /thx :iluvu :deek :dgrin

I also sat down and watched the whole OVA series again and it still strikes a chord with me, over and over again. I never thought that this show would overpower my love of my first anime-love with Samurai Troopers, but this one seemingly has--by a long shot!! :P

These are all from B't X...

TV Episode 14 - Teppei, Maria, and the Shinigami

Neo Episode 1 - Quatro

Neo Episode 2 - Young Quatro

Neo Episode 4 - MetalFace

Neo Episode 10 - Phoe & Ron

Neo Episode 11 - Phoe & Ron

Neo Episode 12 - Phoe

And believe it or not, but I have more beautifuls coming, hopefully before the New Year when all the mail will be stopped for several days.
Thanks for looking! :D

Congratulations on your newest cels! The top one is my favorite of the batch. It looks like both a dramatic and action-filled moment in the show. I wouldn't know because I've never seen B't X, but it looks pretty sweet from the cels in your gallery. Plus, I'm a fan of giant monsters, robots, and the like so I'm guessing you'd recommend I watch it?

Thanks! Image B't X is mostly a fighting mech type of show, so if you like that genre, you'd probably like this. I'm not much of a mech fan. The designs are nice but it's mostly the other story elements that initially got me.
