!Boxing, of course!

[This is a nice new sketch from an update I'm working on slowly. Happily for the guy in the sketch, the brass knuckles were eliminated during the planning stage and don't appear in the gengas or dougas.]

Happy Boxing Day!

This seems to be the closest I can find to a fist fight. ^^

Although i immediately thought of posting my hajime no ippo cel (i better leave that alone for other galleries that have a much nicer selection to post)... The opening from gintama for Kondou Isami (Shinsengumi Commnader) and his "love interest" Otae... Always makes me laugh.

Because Cloud, it's always fun to post "fake" boxing art instead. Silly bot.

Lol, and I had to comb the dregs to find even one. I guess that's what one gets for collecting from such an outspokenly pacifistic series. :P

I looked all over, but could only find a mecha finger attack. Lol :D

I've got firearms and knives, but no fists-making-contact images. Lol :^^:

Yow! Poor puppy-demon! There should be a special boxing league for peachmen!

Heh. That's a good start to a love story. Mine sort of goes the same way, though Sasahara doesn't actually fall in love with Saki-chan.

That is a funny sketch! Does getting hit with one turn you into a stuffed animal? Or fill your brain with polyfill?
Moop wrote:Lol, and I had to comb the dregs to find even one. I guess that's what one gets for collecting from such an outspokenly pacifistic series
What a nice one, though! I love the "How can I possibly lose!" look on the demon's face.
Keropi wrote:I looked all over, but could only find a mecha finger attack.
Fortunately, it doesn't look like it's hit a vulnerable spot! Thanks!
JuniorMintKiss wrote:I've got this one from Labyrinth of Flames to celebrate!
Great use of perspectives! I like the way the board (?) in front is bending out through the screen with the force of the punch against the guy's head. Another mean girl! Is there a female boxing or martial arts league in Japan? I'd love to see a match between Akane (or Ranma-chan) and Meilin from CCS!

Congratulations! That is a great (and somewhat sexy) image, and the description of how you found it (and what it was used for) makes for a great Christmas addition!
GuyvarIII wrote:"Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee." 4 boxing cels from AD Police:
Thanks especially for the extended review of the series:
The OVAs are like the wet dreams of an ultra-violent, sadomasochistic psychopath. The show is a triumph of macho, misogynistic mania, with the inhumanity of society tacked on for show at the end. It plays out seemingly unaware of it’s own insulting nature, giving this sleaze a power and energy unseen in most other Anime.
The images are really well done, and I like the monochrome gritty look, like a series of tabloid press photos of the event. Maybe I'll give this a watch in between Cialis-popping parties and watching reruns of Lawrence Welk.
Penguinton wrote:Only fist fighting sketch I own
But a funny one. "Ooooof!"

Thanks everyone, and I hope that you all are tucking into your Christmas presents in good form. (I haven't seen any Tutu yet, but I did watch a Speedgrapher episode with my daughter last night ... nice, and with urban legends yet!)
