Venture Brothers

I'm so glad Venture Bros. is back! I was so worried they wouldn't get
renewed, and they almost didn't :l

The DVDs took long enough to come out too. Hopefully season 2 won't
take so long to get a DVD release.

I wasn't able to watch tonight's new episode, but I gotta know one thing:

are Dean and Hank really dead?

Please, someone provide that spoiler! And be sure to keep it hidden in the
spoiler tag, incase I change my mind and don't really want to know!

Gawd...I love this show:
They are dead for like the 14th time, but their zombie clone bodies are walking around waiting to have their memories fully restored in them, and their bodies fully regenerate.

Damn, that was well worth the wait. Image

I got to watch it today. I must say, what I predicted happened. The whole
"Venture Brothers" thing, which was very cool. Seeing the characters go
thru changes was neat too.

The Buck Rogers "Twiki" moment was brilliant. The sub-standard pop culture
sprinkled throughout makes the show so enjoyable.

This is friggin' priceless! :rollin

Is anyone beside me a little disappointed with the second season? The First episode of season two was dead on but the last two episodes have been.. Eh.

Perhaps it was because my expectations were so high. I felt the first season was… well, SUBLIME. I loved the characters and the goofy situations they created for themselves. The voice acting was also a treat as well as the animation. The writing was quick with wit so sharp you could cut yourself and die laughing.

But these past new episodes…. So sophomoric and not in a good way. Are the writers getting together and drinking with their buddies from sixth grade? Butt joke, fart joke, virgin joke- I'm waiting for the characters to line up, drop their pants and compare parts. Perhaps the wait won’t be long… after all, there is an upcoming episode this Sunday.

Please PLEASE I implore the powers that be (Jackson Publick) don’t let the brilliance spiral downwards in the toilet of mediocrity.

Wow - I couldn't disagree more. If anything, I'd say the show is actually coming along rather well.
Take last week's "Assassainanny" episode - Brock's origin into the O.S.I., Cocktease babysitting the compound, an homage to Apocalypse Now & The Doors (including a Chinatown reference for good measure)?! I mean c'mon....!
I guess you can't please everybody.

I didn't like Assassinnanny that much (I still laughed, but I DID think it was missing something) but Return of the Mummy or whatever Sundays ep was called was HILARIOUS :rollin

But last season had some hits and some misses with me too, I still think the show is overall doing well. It's only been three episodes fer cryin' out loud! :P

The new season is just like the first. Hits n' misses, but all around great. The new "Mummy" archis hilarious. The last episode( number 2 in the series) was pee my pants funny!
When Orpheus goes to see his master, and it's in the form of Ceberus...OMG...That whole scene with them is the funniest thing I've seen in the longest time! When his left head starts licking his balls...OMFG! "Wait, wait! This head over here can't stop licking my balls. I don't want to stop him cause' it feels GREAT. Weird thing is, though, I can taste my own balls. Kind of a kunundrum."

LOL. Classic!

Yeah, the last episode was pretty damn funny as well (Caligula was killing me).
The whole jumping into the middle of part II thing... brilliant.
Btw, Ceberus was voiced by H. Jon Benjamin who did the voice for Jon McGuirk from Home Movies. He always makes me laugh. Image
