Best music?

Post by hyelakingsfan »

Which animation do you think has the best music? Im not even going to try and answer this because i think mostly all the ones ive seen have been as good as one another (to name a few: fma, naruto, dbz) I was asking this because i had downloaded music files for these animations a long time ago and am hearing them as i type. They are so smooth and relaxing. I think music is one of the most important parts in animation. It also gives me goosebumps :P

Right now im hearing "Brothers" from the FMA series. I really like this song. I actually got piano notes from the internet and started playing it. Its great.

Escaflowne, Wolf's Rain, Cowboy Bebop, Arjuna, Macross Plus, Brain Powered, Ghost in the Shell SAC, Turn A Gundam, Please Save my Earth and RahXephon just to name a few.

I actually started a "BEST ANIME MUSIC" thread, but everyone is ignoring it. I thought it was a great idea for everyone to look through and try new things...

I couldn't agree more. I love Kanno's style and the unique diversity in her music.

Another composer I am obsessed with is Susumu Hirasawa. I freakin' worship the guy. Some anime series he's composed for are Berserk, Millennium Actress and Paranoia Agent. He also has a rather extensive catalog of albums.

There's a website somewhere, can't remember where unfortunately, that has his entire canon (I'm talking, EVERY SINGLE SONG) in a torrent for download. It's several gigs big but worth it if you do end up liking his work. I suggest finding Paranoia Agent and Berserk, those are two good starter albums. Get a taste for his work.

The anime series BECK: Mongolian Chop Squad features a lot of fantastic music, both the Japanese version and the American version. Funimation took the time to translate the songs, so it's different but still enjoyable. I'd recommend checking out both.

I personally like the music from RahXephon, Texhnolyze, Cowboy Bebop, and X TV to name a few... Oh! Ayakashi: Classic Japanese Horror had some good songs in it too, especially the ending theme by Chitose Hajime.

Edit:: Agh, how could I forget Gankutsuou?!

Hands down :hammer

Noir

I would have said Naruto :shrug but mostly the openings and ending songs
really perk me up. :bubbles

But as for overall, no anime has
rocked my anime music world the way Noir did. :bow :iluvu

Its very unique and really eclectic blend of
traditional Euro music, classical, techno, w/ a dash of church choir..

its just brilliant IMHO!

Though Boogiepop Phantom and Samurai Champloo do fantastic job
w/ their soundtracks too /no1

Escaflowne, Noir, and this weird little thing called Bleach all are winners in my book of anime soundtrack goodness. So is Gankutsuo.

But tops? Absolutely unsurpassable? Blood+ I sat here last night listening to Diva's theme last night and could not stop gasping for air for about ten minutes afterwards. What a performance!

Course for opening and endings... it's hard to top our friends Buck-Tick on Nightwalker and Trinity Blood ;)

Ditto! Initial D introduced me to liking Japanese Anime music. There was also a time when I played Prince of Tennis songs over and over and over... Then came RK songs... Finally Gundam SEED songs... So many songs but those are what I loved a lot.
