I couldn't believe the ending price

In any case.. if anyone here did win it - congrats on a lovely snag - but I feel for your wallet

Yes... interestingly enough, those gengas are from the very end of the movie, where Heero is standing up in the balcony watching Relena--a scene quite a few Heero x Relena fans would love to have a cel/sketch from. I just can't believe it went THAT high...sensei wrote:Not me ... but it is a lovely, craggy Heero portrait. 26,500 for a genga, a shuusei, and an effects layer does seem a lot though. Nevertheless, it's a sign that even for cel-based productions like Endless Waltz, those dang sketches are starting to go for eyebrow-raising prices.
Ahhh!! Well at least I know where to pay him a visit!!kacfrog711 wrote:*meekly raises hand*
He's my Christmas present to myself. XD Cost me as much as an ipod nano. Good thing I didn't really want one of those. >>
Look at that shoulder. <3 And the hair and the eyes and just... *melts into fangirl puddle of goo*
What can i saw. Paint is fun, but I remain a sucker for graphite. <3
Yeah, I know the feeling... heh - the waiting is the worst part once you win!kacfrog711 wrote:Well, once he arrives and I scan him. Which will probably be a few months. SIGH.
Tee hee! At the moment, he's my current favorite in my collection..kacfrog711 wrote:...You know, I am so reminded of that sexy bandadged Heero cel right now. ^_- If you ever get tired of him, you know an fellow insane Heero fangirl willing to pay an arm and a leg. ^_- (er, once she replenishes her bank account. >>;;;)
Congratulations, kcfrog! Lots of people prefer the visual jag of paint on acetate, but in my experience there's nothing like holding the actual piece of paper that was on the animation supervisor's own desk at the moment that image was created.kacfrog711 wrote:*meekly raises hand*

HA!!! See! I'm not the only one!kacfrog711 wrote:there's nothing like seeing sketches in real life, and being able to touch them.
Congrats on the Heero! I must say, I much prefer that Loveless sketch.kacfrog711 wrote:It's true, though, there's nothing like seeing sketches in real life, and being able to touch them. Oh man, I just got some Soubi (from Loveless) sketches in the mail about two weeks ago, and I totally freaked out over them. XD (shows off photo like it's a baby picture) http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v708/ ... 1/sou3.jpg Isn't he adorable?!
