I guess I'm with Okuni, being more a Minnowman than a Yen Boku. When I was still battling it out with the eventual underbidder for my high win (and I'm NOT saying how much it was) I actually got out a fat little envelope of $20 bills and counted them to make sure I actually had the sum I was just about to bid in my hands. I did, and I bid, and I won.

But more often you'll find me a few minutes before the closing time, lingering around very quietly in the eelgrass beside very nice cels that for some reason aren't being bid on or are going for very modest sums. Yeah, I lose a bunch of these, but I have nice cels AND a paid off credit card.

I'm a total loser when it comes to auctions, well at least on auctions I really want and so bid very high (relative term of course). I try not to bid on pretty things I just come across even if they are ending for a steal or reasonable amount. It's more important for me to go after things that means more to me I guess instead of the prices (that is if I can afford it).

Normally, I lose auctions that I bid on 95% of the time, but I actually did win my highest bid for a set of PoT hanken sketches. In the end, I justified my bidding frenzy with price per sketch logic. :cucu It works every time. :sweatdrop
