I recently got to see the whole Samurai Champloo series, and was glad I did before I continued to invest in the dvds. I didn't like the ending at all. (no spoilers, fear not). But I will say, the animation of the lead male characters, Jin and Mugen, looked like they were done by two completely different artists.

Really, my ongoing impression was that this was an alternate universe Amun and Spike on the road... (Witch Hunter Robin and Bebop, just in case I needed to clarify that!)

Movie: War of the Worlds - I thought it was good. It was a lot of fun and suspenseful, but I'd stop short of calling it a great movie.

Akahori Gedou Hour Rabuge 1 (first half: mediocre - 4.1, second half: okay - 5.2):
http://www.gedou.net/
I don't know why they call this "Hour". It's only a half hour long. This appears to be two different shows. The first twelve minutes appears to be a armor-clad girl parody series. I didn't find it funny though. :( The second half was a magical girl semi-parody. I liked the scene of the father on his deathbed :D . There's a tiny small sliver of something I like about the second series. :D

Sugar Sugar Rune 1 -
http://www.sugarune.com/
I'm not into this, but I didn't expect I would be. I just wanted to be sure. :)

Kamichu 2 (decent - 5.4):
This was pretty cute and Ghibli-like just like the first episode. I like how well they animate their mouth movements. I have a summer festival episode to add to my list.

Suzuka (okay/fair - 5.1):
http://www.suzuka-tv.com/
I was somewhat disappointed by the animation quality of this show. The characters are fairly simply drawn. I got off on the wrong foot by not liking the male and female leads of this series. I'm probably not going to watch any more of this. It'd be hard for me to enjoy anything they do when I dislike them so much. X|

Tide Line Blue 1 (okay - 5.2):
http://www.tlblue.com/
It was well animated, but I hate that ostrich. :P The sub was cool, but I'm usually not much into military politics anime these days. Can't say I was too interested in this, but I'm sure this will be popular with a lot of people.

The Doctor : … and then, just to finish off, I’m going to wipe every last stinking Dalek out of the sky !
Dalek : But you have no weapons ! No defenses ! No plan !
The Doctor : Yeah ! And doesn’t that scare you to death ?

SHUFFLE! 1 (decent/fairly good - 5.8 ):
http://www.wowow.co.jp/anime/shuffle/
I like this show a lot even if the animation quality is not as good as the Prologue. But there being no one around eager enough watch the raw of this can't be a good sign. :?

Diary of Tortov Roddle (decent - 5.4):
I thought it was a nice short film. It's like something you'd see at a film festival.

Full Metal Panic TSR Eve -
It was interesting seeing how the studio animates things on computer. I recommend this for all the sketch collectors out there. :D

Fencer Minerva 4 (decent - 5.6):
Nice palace intrigue story. I need to see the ending one of these years. Did Akira Ishida have an early role in it?

Eyeshield 21 ep. 11 (decent-5.4), 13 (decent-5.5), 14 (decent-5.4):
This show is over-the-top and the characters look like characterizations of animals, but I still find it funny. Hiruma is just so evil. :D

Wind ~a Breath of Heart ep.9.5,10.4,10.8,12.4 (overall - fairly good/pretty good - 7.0):
The four DVD episodes left out from TV airing gives this series more heart and soul than I figured would have been possible. The added amount comes up to only another forty four minutes of footage, but they make all the difference in the world. They make the series coherent and give it an emotionality I can now touch. :l

That's two heartwrenching episodes I've seen in the past twelve days: Wind ~ aBoH 10.4 and Iriya no Sora 5. :bawl X| :bawl Ah...such pain and anguish. :hurt:

I know I have a reply in this thread somewhere.

But.

Last night watched a movie called "Dear Frankie." (I'm into watching Gerard Butler movies.) This one won bunches of awards, and it's very very good. But unless you can decipher those Scottish accents, you'll need to turn on the subtitles. Which is what I did.

I highly recommend it.

Last notable TV I watched was Raw on Monday night. LOST is tonight!!! Wheeee!!!

When was this exactly?

The Three Laws of Robotics:
1. A robot may not injure a human being, or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.
2. A robot must obey the orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.
3. A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.
