^ Well, that just means that you have to watch more.

I finished up the Kenshin OVAs.
How incredibly depressing!! I rushed to my scanlated Kenshin manga (which I haven't finished yet) just to make sure that the story didn't really end that way. It was waaaaay too poignant for me.

Here are some anime I caught between my Civilization III and Figures of Happiness games (Yay! Mio and Mao! :love2 ):

Maid Service (okay - 5.2):
It was very much like a dark, blackmailing, abusive adult version of "He Is My Master". But it was pretty predictable with NO surprises whatsoever.

Bleach 47 (fairly good - 6.3): /no1
Very good! It was a great showcase for a number of Bleach characters.

Shin Angyou Onshi Movie (fairly good - 6.0):
I enjoyed the first 40 percent a LOT. I was ready to give this a 6.5-7.0 rating, but then I found the later part to be a bit slow running and somewhat predictable hence I have to give it a lower rating. But I haven't enjoyed a fantasy-world anime movie for quite some time (there aren't very many these days :( ).

Makai Tenshi Jibril 3-4 (okay/fair - 5.1):
I still like Escalayer, the first TWO episodes of Mahou Shoujo Ai and Magical Kanan BY FAR the most as far as "pure"-magical girl "hentai" anime go. I didn't find this one noteworthy, unique or interesting. :(

Eyeshield 21 ep16 (fair - 5.0):
Unfortunately I didn't find this one too enjoyable or funny. :(

Erementar Gerad 22 (decent - 5.7):
Everything is building up and all elements of the story are slowly coming together. I'm looking forward to the ending.

Ichigo Mashimaro 6 (watching it unsubbed - okay/decent - 5.3):
In Episode Four I could understand 35 percent of the jokes. In Episode Five, only about 5 percent. But Episode Six proved much better for me (15 percent :messed ). But I'd like to know what the heck those notepads they were holding up said. :D

Shadow OVA 1 (okay/decent - 5.3):
Stylish, but I wasn't aware this OVA was going to be so sleazy. Hopefully OVA 2 will reveal more plot. :?

I spent this weekend catching up on Detective Conan and Yugioh GX (the only anime the Japanese grocery store here carries that I'm currently watching) and I watched the first couple of episodes of Densha Otoko - I immediately recognized the opening animation was an homage to the Daicon 4 opening animation. I wonder if that separates the otaku from the regular viewer in Japan. X| I also watched the first three eps on Samurai Champloo vol 4 DVD - I'm going to wait to watch the fourth eps until the next disc comes out since it's the first part of a multi-part. And I went back and watched the first couple of episodes of MKR last night. Just because I felt like it.

Hector the Collector loved these things with all his soul,
Loved them more than shining diamonds, loved them more than glistenin' gold.
Hector called to all the people,"Come and share my treasure trunk!"
And all the silly sightless people came and looked...and called it junk.
