.. and wish people happy birthdays, etc., here's the tale.
On Tuesday afternoon last week, I had an epidural for sciatica. Nasty business those shots, but the muscle relaxer was mighty fine! (I was a little high!) If this works, it pays high dividends. Supposed to be flat on my back for 24 hours, but about 10 p.m. I checked my email.
I was planning on closing on the sale of my house Friday a.m. and the purchase of my trailer Fri. p.m. Obviously I needed the $$ from one for the other.
The email at 10 p.m. on Tuesday from my lawyer said, "Oh, no. You have to be out of your house by 10 a.m. on Friday. Please tell me you're going to be out."
So, instead of lying flat on my back until Wed. p.m like I was supposed to, I was out renting a truck. I won't tell you how hysterical I got, but Thursday at 7 a.m. half my church descended upon my house to move me.
That's the short of it. In the middle of this, while I was at the trailer, my son was at the house trying to close a window and put his arm through it. Tore muscle out, 8 stitches in his forearm and 5 in his pinky, blood & glass everywhere. Two ladies from my church cleaned that so well, you'd never know it happened.
BUT I'M SURE GLAD THAT'S OVER, AND I'M GLAD TO BE BACK!!

Thank goodness for church women! God works for six days and rests, but church women don't never rest. The world would be in sorry shape otherwise. I'm glad all went well in the end.
Sciatica is no chicken barbecue picnic lunch either: I had a bad spell of that a few years ago, and there were times when I couldn't sit and couldn't stand either. Advil and dark (75% cocoa or more) chocolate were the only things that touched it. I hope yours clears up, as it seems to do eventually.

Good Gosh Momma! That's nuts! I totally agree with Sensei about the dark chocolate however I think wine would be a better compliment with it.

I'm DOWN with wine and chocolate!!
Thanks for the looove.
The folks at my church are amazing. I still haven't got a bill for fixing the window my son put his arm through. (Another church person.) I get my 2nd epidural next Friday, then Sunday I'm off with 26 other people to Kingdom Bound at Darien Lake. Check it out here http://www.kingdombound.com
Casting Crowns, Newsboys, Bluetree, Skillet, Pillar, Salvador, Natalie Grant ... This is my 11th year going. Where else can you spend 3-1/2 days with people you love and hear so many major Christian bands in one place?
Not to mention 7 amazing 'coasters: The Ride of Steel (108 feet, 70-degree drop), Viper, Motocross, Predator, the Boomerang (Not for the Lily-Livered!) Skycoaster (a 180-foot bungee drop) and the Mind Eraser (track is over your head). And everything else you can expect at a major amusement park. I need the vacation!
