So what series is your most expensive cel from? Is it your favorite series?

Please no stating prices. This thread isn't to see how much people are paying or willing to pay. Thank you!

My most expensive cel is from Weiss Kreuz. It's not my favorite series. Heck, it's not even in my top 10 favorite anime but I do adore the show so much. My favorite series of all time is Fushigi Yuugi and my cels from that series don't even rank in my top 10 most expensive cels. 8O It just surprised me. How about you? Any surprises from your galleries? :^^:

My most expensive cel is from ..... Gundam Wing 8O. (oh yes, it's just oh so shocking :P)

It makes sense for me, since Gundam Wing is my favorite anime series. :) When I look at my gallery, it's obvious to me that the amount of money I spend or am willing to spend on artwork is directly related to how much I love the show. How normal I am... :P :D

No big suprise for me that most of my expensive cels are from X since it has been so highly priced because of the quality of the art. 8)

My biggest suprise has been what I have been able to aquire at what price 8O

PS The movie is not my favorite , but the TV series is and I would rather have paint than pencil :wink:

For me I would guess it is a tie between the Long Haired Akane cels from the 1st season of Ranma 1/2 and the series To Heart for they both are about the same in the price I have had to pay for nice cels of them.

My most expensive cel is from Utena. It is one of my two most favorite series, the other being Sailor Moon. The rest of my most expensive cels are SM, however those are at least 2x less in cost as my most expensive Utena cel!

My most expensive cel is not surprisingly from Miyuki-chan in Wonderland, seeing as how those OVAs are my focal collection. Next most expensive series I own cels from are Hunter x Hunter and Ah, My Goddess, neither of which make it into my top 5 series.

my most expensive series is kuroshitsuji.

next expensive would be saiyuki reload-burial pieces.

without a doubt my one of my Kenshin OVA cels
next would be some of my Shippuuden genga sets
surprisingly my lone last remaining Griffith cel [Berserk] was
relatively inexpensive as I bought it quite a few years back,
my Ghibli Mononoke cels were also surprisingly reasonable.

Not surprisingly my most expensive cel comes from FY, but then I only really collect from that series, so... ^^; but even then, it wasn't that huge of an amount compared to what other cels from series like Kenshin and Sailormoon go for.

My most expensive cel is, not surprisingly, from Cardcaptor Sakura, a stunner that was so special that I'd never dreamed of owning it.

However, the biggest bid that I ever laid down on an auction (Mandarake, also not a surprise) was for a lot of backgrounds from Princess Tutu. I lost, and badly. Japanside collectors are very protective of their little duckling and all of her accessories.

Both series are very dear to me. It would be unthinkable to put down a really large sum on a cel, however wonderful and bargain-priced for this market, if the series didn't mean something to me.

Hands down Fushigi Yuugi. Not shocking since that's my main series to collect. The top 10 does have some Escaflowne (tv) mixed in, which is actually my favorite series to watch.

For me, as well, not too surprising -- my human IY and smirking Dog-Boy tie for my most expensive.... ***oops! had to edit => my IY & Kag OP is my Most Expensive (forgot ^^; )

But, oddly enough, there are 3 other series I'd attempted to obtain $$ cels from -- and lost -- these are TLU, CCS (OP), and SM -- really not surprising that these were waaay $$ but I thought it was interesting, for me, that I was willing to plunk down even more $$ than my most expensive IY.

And I LOVE my Dog-Boy ... go figure :P

It may be surprising, but my most expensive cel is Mirai Trunks coming out of the ROSAT from DBZ. My second series - Rurouni Kenshin and 3rd highest - Inuyasha, are not as much of a surprise.

and its funny, even though i really love the last two series, they arent my all time favorites. :?
