Oooh yes! :D

And "Jawohl Herr Obersturmbannführer!!" sounds sooo much cooler than "yes sir!!" :P

I never really understood the Japanese infatuation with the german language either :)

I think it just sounds cool to them, the same way English does, and the same way Japanese sounds cool to us. Well, some of us, anyway. Some German words have been integrated into Japanese, too. "Arubaito", for example, for "part time job".

So, I have a question for those who have seen all of Gluhen. Is it worth it? I watched the first six episodes and wasn't too fond of it-- I thought they'd lost that special cheesiness that the original show had that made me love it, and the writing/plotting hadn't gotten any better to make up for it. So does the second half get better? Should I buy the DVDs?

Arubaito huh? ... Arbeit (arbeid in Dutch) roughly means work, so that makes sense :)

Y'all are cracking me up! :crackup

Hey! For a little WK fun, try this.

http://quizilla.com/users/whitebutterfl ... %20you%3F/

It's where I got the banner in my sig from. There are actually a lot of the fun tests out there on WK. I wasted an hour last night playing them.

Oh, I know this isn't about WK but . . .

*gestures to avatar*

. . . just a preview of my wishlist cel. :D

I was going to ask if that was THE CEL, Duotrouble! It's gorgeous!! I can see why you're so excited about it. I can't wait to see it, so be sure to post when it arrives. Hee, hee ... it'll look great in your collection.

And, Weyrlady ... I thought Gluhen was worth it. It's not as cheesy in that special way we all know and love from the first series and, even, the OAV. But, it does have a bit of a "cheese factor" all its own ... I mean, I thought it did, anyhow. I really liked it ... except for the ending. But, then ... perhaps I'm not the best person to even answer your question ... as I have already stated that I would have bought the discs and loved the show if it had consisted of nothing more than hours of Aya, with the long hair, standing around doing nothing.

Hmmm ... Aya ... long hair ... standing around wearing nothing ...

Oh ... wait! Did I say that out loud? Eeek ... but he's not even real ... and this is a "family forum" ... (*walks off, muttering to self: Must remember, inside voice, inside voice, inside voice ...*)

EDIT:... well, I tried the quiz, and, apparently, I even am Aya (Ran). Well, that settles it ... I'm officially one sick, twisted puppy ... I'm in love with an anime character ... who is ... well, um ... me, apparently ... sigh. I'm sure there's a novel in there somewhere ...or, at the very least, a long country and western song ...

I'm just as bad. I'm crazy about Omi and I'm Omi! But it's okay. I took the which Weiss character would you be married to and I got Ken from Gluhen. That's the other pic. It's hard to read but on the site it was clear.

And my opinion of Gluhen . . . well I liked the tv series the best followed by Verbrechen/Strafe aka Crime and Punishment followed by Gluhen. So it was my least favorite of all the WK stuff out there. (I actually like my music videos disc more than Gluhen.) But I will own all of Gluhen because staring at Ken all day in that just makes me happy . . . just don't tell Omi. :dwink

Okay, duo, I took your little test -- now I'm scared of myself! I'm Nagi! 8O As i was answering the questions, I thought I was going to be stuck being an Omi for sure! (heehee! Omi's scenes were the most moving, but he wasn't my favorite guy.)

HA! I went back and changed a couple of answers, and then it said I was Toudou! I didn't know who that was, but it said I was psycho. I just thought it meant I was old and reaaaallly losing my memory since I had no recollection of who the heck Toudou was!! :) *phew* Thank you for telling me that I haven't met that guy yet!

Ooooh .... Shellie can raise people from the "dead" ... hmmm ... but perhaps only if they carry frilly umbrellas. Either way, Shellie ... I'm gonna be sure and stay on your good side! LOL.

And, Uende ... what can I say except .... "Wow ... you're weird!" :joke Of course, I would never say that to your face ... um .. fuhrer. But, you know I love 'ya! /kis If it makes you guys feel any better, I changed a couple of my answers, and I was Tudou, too ... so, we can all be weird together --- ha! Of course, then I immediately had to go back to being Ran ... because I love him ... um me ... um him ... um me ...

(*wanders off to start writing that long country and western song*)
