uh. . . DOGS!!!!! I have 8 of them. 5 chihuahuas (+ 6 of their puppies), a golden retreiver, chocolate lab, and a mut that just showed-up about a year-ago (they do that to me. . . just show-up. I had about 15 dogs at one time 'cause they'd just show-up. :D ) Friends and family call them "Kate's pack." I think I was a dog in a past life. *shrugs*

I'd say dog, because they can be great companions and respond to you and are always there even in the bad times. Diamonds may be shiny, but they are small. :P

That is kind of an odd question, and a huge generalization, I agree.

But, I voted dog.

I don't like diamonds. Boring clear things, like glass. My engagement ring has a sapphire in it.

I can't own pets with fur. Allergies. Asthma. Kinda kills the inclination. I own fire-bellied toads.

But I still voted dog.

I don't know if they have rescues in the Netherlands, but if they do go rescue!!!!! They are so sweet and caring when you give them everything they've never had before!
