Three times a month X| Eep!

It's a 1993 Volvo 440 sedan and it could be a little less thirsty but I guess it's okay.

I remember going to Italy 10 years ago and being amazed by $4+ per gallon gas prices. Americans really have it too good. Our business requires lots of driving from all the way up around Philadelphia to all the way down to Virginia, and as a result, when the last car kicked the bucket, we got a Prius. For the amount of driving necessary, it really has been worth it. I'm curious, are hybred cars popular in Europe?

HOLY GUACAMOLE!!! 8O 8O 8O

$6.87 a gallon?

...

$6.87 ... a gallon?

I can't believe you guys have to pay that much, Uen-chan! That is unbelievable. And, to think, I've been complaining about almost $3 a gallon. I think the last time I filled up it was around $2.85 or something like that.

I know this doesn't help you at all, but your post made me feel better about our gas prices.

I just can't believe you have to pay that much. It's just wrong.

So, in your "for sale" thread, when you said you were trying to raise money for something "special" ... you really meant you were tyring to get together enough ka-ching to fill your gas tank, huh? :D

:joke ... But I hope it at least made you smile. :)

*sends hugs*

Nope, not at all :)

And yes, that is weird..considering our gas prices
But a lot of people drive HDI diesel cars, just because it's cheaper.

I will take that under consideration.

So do they have bank loans inside when you fill up now? Wow... here I thought $2.53 - $2.73 was bad. Although it is bad... Just not that bad.

I'm not sure I understand the implication of that.

Not to be picking nits or anything, and not that I like the idea of higher gas prices for anyone, but... it IS a non-renewable resource, we (in the US that is) DO have technology available to get super high MPG that the government has never insisted upon, and, well...

I just think that if anyone is paying $6.87 a gallon it ought to be us (as in, U.S.) with our gas-hog SUV's and muscle vehicles and...

OK, I'll shaddup now before you start calling me a tree-hugger (which I am :D)

So how much of the $6.87 is the tax on the gas?

I heard Europeans have extremely high gas tax rates. X|
