That's actually a funny story! They tried to build it originally almost SIXTY miles or more upstream, but everytime they got one large building done, it would sink into the sandy ground, so they just kept moving south until they found a spot it would stay! :rollin

I've donated to the red cross. Our block is going to have a yard sale and donate all proceeds to whichever relief center and I didn't know about donating frequent flyer miles, I have loads from Delta & Continental (Thanks for the heads up Baakay, my Delta miles has enough for a free flight and I know that there are loads of people that should be willing to donate!). If anyone can think of other things, please PM me. I feel like I'm not doing enough.

Lynxa, please let us know what you need! Go to Macy's website and register for the stuff that you need. This way it will be easier for everyone to visually see what they are. Make a thread here or a new thread so that we can checklist what some of us already has and can send or buy for you. This way no one buys double of something and we can try to cover most of the list. Glad you are safe :ghug:
