Holy frijoles, Quickstraw... that Housecalls scan must be super thorough!! It has taken over 16 minutes and is still only 68% done!! WHEW!! But so far it says I'm clean... :yay YAAAAY!! Thank you SO much, zero!! If you're ever in southeastern Ohio, I'll buy you lunch! In the meantime, how 'bout I pay up by finding you a screencap for one of your cels! ;) I'll try to do that later today. Thanks again for sharing your expertise... and making it easy enough for a computer dunce to follow! :D /kis

(oh, and I guess I do need the zHotkey thing since I do have a fancy-schmancy keyboard that came with my MediaCenter Edition computer... I wish I actually did cool stuff that caused me to use those buttons! ;))

LOL shellie - yeah, it's a pretty thorough scan - I run it every couple weeks in addition to my AVG. ^_^

Oh and you're quite welcome! :D I honestly don't mind helping folks out with this stuff - as a matter of fact.. I do it all the time for family & friends at home. I will say this, though: it's easier when I'm the one in front of the computer, but I'm glad to know I didn't confuse the crap outta ya today! :D

I hope your scan turns up clean, but if not and ya need help - just drop by here again and let me know!

In the meantime.. I'd say we can celebrate that the spyware is gone! Wooo!

:cheers :vict :vict :jump

Squeaky clean, I am!! :yay YeeHaaa!! Thanks again! I'm glad you enjoy helping out and that our cries for help don't just bug you ... cuz I certainly enjoy having you around! (For your sterling personality, not JUST your outstanding computer skills! :)) My boys will be particularly happy... they get really frustrated when they get kicked out of the middle of their favorite CartoonNetwork and Nick.com games! (That's probably where I got the crazy virus in the first place!! They are on weird sites like cheatcodes and stuff... I think I've trained them well enough to stay away from the temptation to touch the "Click here to get a free PSP!!" banners, but they are click-around-everywhere guys. Oh the stuff I'm sure they'll stumble upon in their web travels!! :wow:)

Thanks for everything, ZS!! You're the best! /kis

Good work Zero, you truely are the computer Kami ;) Like Shellie, I wouldn't have known where to go or what to do with such a bothersome 'glitch' that penetrated the defenses. Success /no1

Erk... didn't think of that. Oh look, another virus. Must go take care of that.

*scampers away*

I meant that I was still learning about all these nasty stuff. My bro is my real IT Anti-virus/hacker guy now (sorta gets paid to do it, well not really but it sounds cooler). Mine is usually, "Hmm, stupid spyware/trojans/viruses. I'll fix you" *reformats entire computer* =D

:D haha! I certainly didn't take your comments badly... I am a computer jarjar binks and I know it! :D But here's the scarey part... whenever a computer goes wrong amongst our friends and family, everyone calls ME! :rollin True!! I know just enough to be dangerous. :) So if I'm JarJar Binks, what would I dub the rest of my extended family?? *snickersnicker* No, don't answer that one! ;)
