For all you retail workers and house wives out there...

Post by Sugarflower »

I work retail and know what a pain it can be to fold hundereds of shirts at the end of the sales day not to mention having to come home and do the laundry as well! My fiance found this video clip. You will be amazed, at least I was!! I'm trying to teach myself how to do this now and can't wait to try this out at work!

Went back and watched that 3 times! They have to have put pins or cardboard or somethin' in that shirt when the tape stopped rollin' for a second! No way can it come out that nice. Can it?? ... Hold on... gotta get a shirt and try it....

:x I've watched it 5 more times and I can't get past the flippy move in the middle!! I just end up with a crumpled t-shirt that looks like how my 7 year old "folds" his stuff!! Tell me if you guys can figure it out... or if this really just is a cruel hoax on all of us who want to learn new laundry tricks! ;)

LMAO!! It took me and my fiance just as many times or more until we finally figured out how to fold the darn thing. :vict
We kept running back to the computer to watch the video. :P
This is like origami for shirts, ha ha!

A first the shirts looked pretty crappy but after a few more folds then it turned out pretty good. I think my fiance did a much better job than I did. Maybe I should have him do the laundry more often. :D

So it actually does work, sugarflower? I quit trying because I was beginning to fear I had been had by some prankster seeing how many goofy housewives he could trick into wasting half a day trying to fold a shirt! :D haha!

Back in my days of being jobless and watching daytime TV I saw an Asian woman on the "Des and Mel show" doing that. There's no pins or cardboard involved. ^_^

That's cool, and it'd work out great for someone in retail (but when I worked in retail over the summer I was in the office. No short-folding for me!! :P ).

But I personally don't care how my shirts look when they're in the drawer. :shrug

Then again, it'd be a great party trick. Maybe I'll go back and watch that a few more times.

I cheat: my husband (who was in the Navy) taught me to just roll all our shirts that go in drawers. :D

Wow ... I'm going to have to give that folding technique a try! And, today's laundry day, too ... fortune is smiling on me. :D

...

OK ... NOT really ... but laundry day is depressing, so I need any little reason possible to look forward to it.

...

Yes, I am pathetic. X|
