I'm just so frustrated right now. This was just not fair, it's just not god damned fair!

They could, but it might be dangerous.

The Three Laws of Robotics:
1. A robot may not injure a human being, or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.
2. A robot must obey the orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.
3. A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.

I saw that a few minutes ago on the news and just couldn't believe my eyes.

And guess what else... one of the levees in New Orleans has broken again. 9th ward? that doesn't mean anything to me but that's where they were locating it.

I'd ask what else could go wrong, but I would feel as though I were temping fate...

There's really little you can do for tradegies like this. It was unexpected and horrific.

I don't know what else to say, except for the fact that I feel myself clinging to my beliefs about life and death a whole lot more these days.

9th ward is a little Northwest of the Quarter. It's the lowest lying area and, consequently, where the projects were located. Most of the scenes you saw of water up to roofs during Katrina were shot in the 9th ward. Just in case New Orleans had something left.... :x

To reach old age and then die in fear and without your loved ones around you... :l It's so sad.

How horrible for them. They must have been so scared. That's what bothers me - not death itself, but the fear that must have come upon them when they knew what was happening. Makes me just want to cry.

Lost of them probably died pretty quick because of their oxygen tank explosions.

Same here. My grandfather (about being in WW II) once told me : I wasn't afraid of dying, just of dying afraid.

The Doctor : … and then, just to finish off, I’m going to wipe every last stinking Dalek out of the sky !
Dalek : But you have no weapons ! No defenses ! No plan !
The Doctor : Yeah ! And doesn’t that scare you to death ?

What's sad is, it didn't have to happen. All they had to do was open a window. All these folks were breathing 100% oxygen, with the windows rolled up. All that air in the cabin, and it would take a tiny spark to ignite that bus. Such a senseless tragedy.
Time is but an illusion. Lunch time...doubly so.
