I have to say, this artist is remarkably talented, all things considered ^^;

They are raffling off paintings by that elephant here in CO to raise funds for the Colorado Association of Certified Veterinary Technicians. Apparently they usually run $600 to start.

Really GK? Cool! Do they have a website
I found a Thai elephant art site... not sure if elephants really painting all the images, though... some are pretty good.

Yeah they have an elephant here at the Denver Zoo that paints as well so her stuff is being raffled. I know there are some other elephant paintings as well from other places. I was floored when I heard the original starting prices for them. Then again....they are rare and just plain incredible.
I obviously want one.
So I bought a few raffle tickets.

Sorry...
Yes - even though it's obvious that the brush strokes have been taught, there still seems to be an almost eerie amount of freeform thought that goes into each piece. For example, when they retrace lines that are too light or consider space before adding the next stroke. Not to mention that certain elephant artists have better trunk dexterity and are able to create stand-out pieces. All in all, I'm pretty amazed.
