Me and my boyfriend went to Tokyo Tower together last night. It was a little anti-climatic, but still pretty cool.

Well, I'm stuck at work...

But an Alaska airline rep left me her pink butterfly 'Magic Pixie Wand', so I'm having a fun time playing with that at work.

POOF! All my passengers dissapeared! Yeah!

My wife and I killed most of a bottle of 2008 Beaujolais Nouveau and a tray of cheese and crackers, and watched the ball come down on TV. Before that, I vacuumed the whole house so we wouldn't enter 2009 in a dirty place.

I hear ya. I took a nap earlier, which is the only reason I made it up to watch the ball drop. :emb

Wow Glorff, you have a huge party! And a wedding to boot! What a way to ring in the New Year! Have fun! ^^

Can I borrow the Magic Pixie wand? I have a few things I'd like to poof away for '09.

My evening consisted of cooking fish, Scott outside clearing the driveway of the latest snowfall, and the effing oil burner backfiring again, causing the house to shake as if we had an earthquake. :hurt:

I hope everyone else had a fun night. ^^

wow for the first time in ages im actually still up at.... 1:15 AM 8O ! lol

well me and mom (yeah youre gonna laugh) stayed up and watched the "food network star" marathon. we just couldnt stop watching it. it ended right at midnight so we decided to stay up and watch the fireworks on tv.

aw man that was a BIG dissapointment.
:?
welll what happened was they arent allowed to shoot off fireworks from the tops of the hotels here (in vegas) anymore. :l this year theyre only allowed to shoot from the roofs of the parking garages (and only certain garages b/c most of them are in very tight areas that only ones that had enough space could be used).

long story short (yeah i know youre dying to know why... :ZzZz: ) this year there were workers on one of the roof's of the hotels and they actually accidentally set the roof on fire 8O ... burned a quarter of the top of it too X| ... so now no more fireworks on top of hotels (WAHHHH *cries like a baby*).

so when they lit off the firewrks this year it... stank
to start off the firewroks didnt even go off at midnight... they were like 30 seconds late. then half of the people on the strip couldnt even see the fireworks b/c the buildings were blocking it and even then when you could see it it wasnt anythign really spectacular. :(

soooo. that was my new years special. :D

i think i enjoyed the food network more. :x lol
(sorry, its almost two and im tired and cranky)..

happy new year everyone! :badass :cheers :multi

mmm. someone got any coffee? :coffee:

*gives Belldandy a coffee and a hug* (Hopefully, you'll feel better with this. :^^:)

I didn't do anything special on New Year's Eve really... just went to town with my sister, bought nothing and then came home early. We had a toast with sparkling juice and vodka, watched a bit of tv and that's about it. 8O

Hope you all had a great time. Happy new year! :cheers

I hosted frens at my new hse for dinner, everyone brought something from 10 yrs ago and we had a good laugh at our old selves. We also had a blast playing boardgames and charade. It ended at 2+ am, early compared to our past record (think we are all getting old) :D

Anyway, Happy New Year everyone! May 2009 be a happy and smooth-sailing year for all.

We drank Charles Heidsieck, ate popcorn, watched the ball drop...and toasted fervently to the hope that 2009 would be better than 2008. Image

Happy New Year, everyone! :)

I went out with a friend to a nice restaurant, and then to the Foreigner concert. I had way too much to drink and had a hangover the next day. But I wouldn't change a thing, it was a great night.

I didn't have very high expectations. I have their greatest hits, and they aren't my favorite 70/80's band. But, I was really blown away by their performance, and I had a lot of fun.

I was really lucky actually (I'm never lucky). My friend had tickets and was going to take someone else, but she backed out and I guess I was the first person he thought of to ask. I'm truly grateful for the experience.
