Something wrong with Rubberslug
Titles to peoples' galleries are not showing up and when I tried to go on the forums my antivirus alerted me to a trojan horse and aborted the connection...

Interesting: many of the titles are not showing up, even in my gallery. However, I could not see any serious problems of corruption in a quick check. Still, there is definitely something wrong.
The home page seems unaffected, with the list of links to galleries intact. But if you go to any gallery page, all the titles for the individual items are missing (though you can still navigate to the page by clicking the image). Once there, the titles are also missing from the top of the descriptions, and also from the "Previous"/"Next" links at the bottom, though again you can click there and still navigate through the gallery.
Links back to the home page, to the wishlist, private area, etc. at the top are also unaffected. The only links that have disappeared are the ones that would normally appear in bold face.
An odd glitch: I hope it's nothing serious.

Eeek! For me, I can't see any gallery titles on the home page or on the gallery listings pages. Also, inside people's galleries, item titles are missing as well as the title of the gallery in the browser's title bar.
EDIT: The forums appear to be blank, and when I attempted to load just the forum listings page, I got redirected to a site that caused my browser to block it as a possible malicious site.
I shudder to think that RS may have been hacked. I hope not.

I wouldn't spend any time on that site, Belldandy16 or anyone. Firefox thankfully blocked it for me, though my hubby actually had to navigate out of it in Google Chrome and keep closing pop-ups telling him his computer was infected, yadda yadda yadda, along the way.
I also encountered the redirect to that same site when clicking on random items in the RS shop.
I would highly recommend anyone using Internet Explorer as their primary browser go patch it with the update released on Tuesday of this week before visiting RS in it's current state.
Hopefully Joe (JWR) is around and can pass the message onto Jason... I also think I have Jason's email address from some more recent communications with him, so I'll pass the info on as well.

Where do I go to do that?zerospace wrote:I would highly recommend anyone using Internet Explorer as their primary browser go patch it with the update released on Tuesday of this week before visiting RS in it's current state.
I didn't get any pop-ups or anything, but I am feeling paranoid because I checked the site.
I also got a weird warning from my anti-virus program that there was something bad on deviantart the other day, which is probably completely unrelated, but seems like a similar issue?

If you're using a Windows computer, open up Windows Update -- it will find updates both for IE and your operating system. If not, you can also head over to Microsoft.com:
http://www.microsoft.com/security/updat ... 3_oob.aspx
I'd highly recommend running it through Windows update, as if you've missed any past security patches, you will get those as well. It's really important to keep your system fully patched these days, with so many malicious sites out there
.
If you don't know how to access Windows update, it should be on your Start menu somewhere. If not, just go to windowsupdate.microsoft.com from inside Internet Explorer.

It's most likely a url hijack, I've had that happen to my website before. They'll probably have to have their hosters do a backup install of the site, then block the people who hacked into the server. I had this happen to my own website a couple of weeks ago.
