Howdy.

Earlier today, the Rubberslug database exploded. I should be able to fetch most of the stuff from backup. The good news is that nothing serious was affected. All the items and stuff are in place. As mentioned in another thread, gallery titles and thread names were corrupted/deleted but everything else is mostly okay.

I have kind of a MacGuyver-esque plan to fix all this, but I really have to step away from my desk in about an hour to go visit some family. RS will be down for the next day or two while I fix everything and figure out what went wrong.

The only thing that worried me was the trojan warning I got in the forums. Where did that come from?

yeah, same here, with the long weekend I finally
had the chance to update some new stuff, oh well,
at least the RS is fixable!!! Thats what counts!

yeah and when i clicked on it, it redirected me to a different website.

Howdy.

An update: The vast majority of the stuff on the site has been salvaged. No galleries were lost, but some are missing names which I guessed at. I'll explain later. No items were lost (as far as I can tell) but some may be missing item titles. That was pretty much the worst of it. Everything else was restored through a somewhat labor-intensive manual process. :/

If that didn't make any sense, just watch the movie "Be Kind Rewind". That's basically what my weekend was. (Not that extreme, there were maybe 20 galleries missing names and a few dozen forum threads.)

There was a small series of leaks throughout the site which have been amended which allowed a browser exploit to be uploaded to the site. It was running since 6 AM that day and caught shortly after when the site was promptly shut down for a good scrubbing. Sorry about that. I know that it sucks, but the good news is that it wasn't anything particularly sophisticated. If you've patched your computer any time in the last year and/or you're running an antivirus that's even remotely modern, you'll be fine.

Been working on this for most of the weekend. Happy Easter! (Non-observants: Happy Egg-Laying Rabbit Appreciation Day!) Once I test out my fixes, I'll turn the site back on. Thanks for your patience!

Yeah! this movie is so so funny!!! I love it ^^
and yes I can seen that the title of my cels on all my pages are desapeared before I can't go on my RS gallery T_T I hope we will fix Rubberslug without any lost

Thanks for all your hard work, I never realized how much I go on Rubberslug until it was gone. I miss it. Sniff. I look forward to it being up and running smoothly soon. We had a fun weekend too. Ants in the house, car dying in the middle of nowhere and no cell phone, garbage disposal stopped up, other minor items breaking, Is there something in the water?
