
I also write, and I use hard copies more often than soft. So "looks better" refers to a printed page. The white break helps my eyes start a new sentence, just like punctuation in poetry is so important to divide ideas.

I did that in grad school before... in a class where the prof expected 10-20 pages. I wasn't sure what angle to take, so I explored them all. Exactly.... Many classes or journals set up the max number of pages....
